Ask HN: Who Doesn't Want to Be Acquired?

I know many of us have side projects that we know are never going to garner interest for acquisitions. They might be projects we built for learning or just hobbies.

But I'm wondering how many of you own a viable money-making venture that you don't ever intend to sell? That is, one that's currently paying the bills or better.

Of course, everyone has their price, but in general, do you currently run a business that you have no exit plan for and would not sell unless the price was exorbitant?

Yes. Frankly, I don't think anyone - let alone FAANG - would want to buy it, no matter how profitable it gets, because the business is inextricably tied to my persona.
